The review concerns the concert of the Camerata – Orchestra of the Friends of Music conducted by Sir Neville Marriner at the Athens Concert Hall, on 21 November 2000. Marriner was in Greece as chairman of the jury of the “Dimitri Mitropoulos” conducting competition. The review judges the performance flawless, but finds that the programme, with works by Rossini, Barber and Bizet, lacked a connecting thread.
