7th GSME conference. Music Literacy: Formal and Informal Forms of Music Teaching-Learning

The 7th Conference of the Greek Society for Music Education (GSME), on the theme “Music Literacy: Formal and Informal Ways of Music Teaching and Learning”, took place at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall on 27–29 November 2015, co-organised with the Thessaloniki Concert Hall Organisation and in collaboration with five university departments. Tassos Kolydas was a member of the organising committee, responsible for the web infrastructure. He designed and implemented the participant registration system, provided technical support for the web server and the mail server, and created a new access control system for the members of the Society. At the same conference he presented a paper on beliefs about “quality” in lossy audio compression algorithms, and a workshop on free and open-source software available to the teacher.
