Tasos Kolydas presented a paper at the conference entitled: Dimitri Mitropoulos. The Conductor - The Composer held at the Institute of Musicology at the University of Vienna.

The event took place as a two-day tribute to the great Greek conductor and composer Dimitri Mitropoulos and had the overall title: Dimitri Mitropoulos: 50 +1 years After. The whole tribute was held on 21 and October 22, 2011 in Vienna under the auspices of the Greek Foreign Ministry. Alongside the conference at the Institute of Musicology at the University of Vienna, a concert was held, featuring works by Dimitri Mitropoulos, the previous day (21/10/2011) in the museum theater (Wiener Theatermuseum) in Vienna.
